If you have a good-sized collection of wine, WineM is a must-have gadget to take your cellar into the next generation. WineM allows you to place an RFID tag on each bottle of wine, creating a searchable database with multiple query options. You can search through your wine collection on a screen and find wines from certain regions, their grapes, or when they will be ready to drink.

When WineM has located a few bottles of wine that match your query, it will light up the LED behind the bottle so you can easily locate the bottles of wine.

Philips AmbientLED 12.5W Energy Star certifiedRemember the ELS LED light bulb that could save you a ton of money? Well that’s hardly the only game in town when it comes to new super energy-saving lighting products.

Take the newly announced Philips AmbientLED 12.5W bulb which is not only a replacement for a traditional 60-watt incandescent, but is ENERGY STAR rated as well. A few more details for you lighting/energy buffs: 806 lumens, 2700K, a CRI of 80 and a six year warranty. The mere mortals amongst us should pay attention to the 6-yr warranty.

No word on availability, but you can already pick up Philips AmbientLED bulbs in different wattages.

Comcast XFINITY iPad TV app Comcast announced an upgrade to the XFINITY iPad app which was released on February 1st. This new (and free) upgrade allows Comcast consumers to watch their favorite On Demand shows and movies right on the Apple iPad. This is in addition to being able to use your iPad, iPhone and iPod touch as a remote control, to search On Demand and TV listings and to schedule your DVR even when you’re away from home.

If you have Comcast and use this app, we want to know what you think. This feels like a new killer app for the iPad similar to the Netflix iPad app.
