Ever since the iPad came out I’ve asked myself “can I replace my computer with it?”. Until now, the answer has been no, but with a stand that seems dedicated to turning the iPad into a monitor/iMac it’s becoming more of a reality.

Of course I’m still going to need some more power than 1Ghz and a larger screen, but this doesn’t do a bad job.

The creatively-titled “iHolder iPad Stand’ can hold your iPad (!) at 3 different viewing angles for your comfort. The stand has cutouts so all the necessary ports are available for use, and is compatible with both the WiFi and 3G models.

Almost every store seems to have their own loyalty card systems today where you can sign up for a card that’s supposedly going to save you money (even if it is in the long run). The problem with these cards is that they only work for individual shops, meaning you need to carry a wedge of them around with you to be anywhere near effective.

That’s where the Cardmobili app comes in – it allows you to save all your reward cards onto your phone for use at the till.

Archerfish is an advanced wireless surveillance system that can be accessed from a variety of devices. All you need to do is set up your Archerfish camera in an area you want to monitor and when it detects any sort of motion it filters it.

The filter works like this; if you’re simply looking out for people coming to your front door then a car driving past or up your driveway won’t activate the surveillance. Archerfish can tell the difference between the general different types of motion.

When the specified motion has been detected then Archerfish will notify you by your smartphone as to what’s happening. You can then log in to the portal and watch the video direct from your smartphone – neat! …

When you’re out and about it can be hard not having access to a USB socket to charge up your gizmos. Here we’ve got Digipower’s dual-USB battery pack which can charge 2 USB devices at the same time from its stored charge.

All you need to do to get going is plug the Digipack to your AC socket and let the electrical juice flow. Recharging from this can be done an estimated 500 times before the device will start to fail, not bad for under $30.
