The fight for the title of world’s toughest USB stick just heated up (again). LaCie’s XtremKey USB Drive is the new leader here. Other tough USB sticks struggle to retain their style after going through their rigorous training but this one has kept its smart styling.
Lacie claim that you can do the following with your stick:
- Drive over it with a 10-ton truck
- Heat it to 200°C
- Cool it to -50°C
- Dunk it under 100m of water
- Drop it 5 metres
..And you’ll still have a memory stick that can read at 40mb/s and write at 30mb/s.
All your data is secured within 2mm of piping constructed from an alloy of zinc, aluminium, magnesium and copper to make it uber strong. Storage is available between 8 and 64GB and is available now!
