Uzi Protector Watch w/ Tritium Self-illuminating Display

Uzi Protector Watch How would you like to wear a little radioactive isotope of hydrogen on your wrist? Of course you would! This Uzi Protector Watch features tritium illumination which is known as T, 3H or Hydrogen-3, which is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen.

Where else have you seen tritium illumination, you might ask? Other watches (not nearly as cool as this one), glowing novelty keychains, self-illuminated exit signs, glow-in-the-dark equipment for military use, analog dials in aircraft, compasses, and sights for some weapons. Even some old rotary telephones used tritium illumination, but since they’re all really old now they don’t produce much light. The Uzi Protector Watch is classic geek black with a metal band, tritium illuminated display, and rotating bezel. Swiss movement means it’ll always be on time (even if you’re not) and the battery will last up to 3 years. But really, it’s all about the tritium, baby.

You’ll be glowing when you wear this watch!

6 Funniest Customer Calls Ever

I was re-introduced to my favorite call center conversation a day or two ago and thought I’d compile half a dozen of my favorite customer support/complaint/sales calls in one place. Most of these videos are not suitable for work or to be watched around kids without ear muffs.

Let the countdown start with a Dell support call where a man is trying to turn off his mom’s laptop. This clip has more bad words strung together than the recent MTV Video Awards:

Table Stabilizer Keychain

Key Table Stabalizer Don’t you hate going to a restaurant only to have the table shake back and forth. Sure, you can put your foot on a leg and try to stabilize the table, but that gets annoying after a few minutes. What you need is something to shove under the leg that’s raised up… and that’s where this Stabilizer Key can help.

At less than $5, this gizmo can be easily carried and stabilize any table. This Table Stabilizer Key could be an inexpensive and utilitarian gift for Father’s Day.

AT&T Fail… again

AT&T Fail Ordering through the AT&T site is down, must be June and time to pre-order the new iPhone… You’d think AT&T would have learned their lesson by now.

AT&T has failed again under the demand for pre-orders of the iPhone 4. Gadget blogs throughout the blog-iverse are reporting that the connections to AT&T have been failing since this morning. Most people see the error included in the image above (taken during my attempts this morning), “Your session expired”, “Your request couldn’t be processed” or simply “Processing information.”

Google Pacman Helpdesk Call

Remember when Google updated their home page to look like a Pac Man game as a tribute to Pac Man’s 30th anniversary? Well, a lady decided to call support to get help on removing the Pac Man game from her “homepage”. I love it when the lady asked “how many calls did you get on that one?” to only be answered by the support guy, “this is actually the first one we got.”

Brian, the support tech on the call, deserves a “Real Men of Genius” Bud Light ad spotlight for holding it together.

Check out the phone call after the jump…

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2010 kick off

WDC '10 With roughly two minutes before Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference about to kick off with Steve Job’s keynote, some late breaking rumors have been hitting the crowd (which all either have a Macbook or iPad in their hands). You can follow live on Macrumor’s Live Coverage site.

As mentioned this morning, there might be one last “Get a Mac” commercial poking fun at the Gizmodo/Apple iPhone controversy. Not unexpected, but rumors of a new Apple TV being presented and previously unreleased rumors about iPhone OS 4 features including printing are emerging. Other expected announcements include a Mac Mini refresh, the latest versions of MacOS X, Safari and Xcode, iBooks subscription service, and Apple’s ‘Magic Trackpad’ or ‘Magic Slate’ release.

The Geeks will wrap-up the Keynote after Steve wraps it up.
