PHOSPOR Reveal Watches Use E-Ink To Display the Time

Just when you thought no one could reinvent the watch, PHOSPHOR Watches did it. Instead of having a hand ticking round, or an LCD screen on your watch, PHOSPHOR use E-Ink to display the time.

The watches work by passing positive and negative charges over particles so that they produce a pattern, in this case the time. Full science details here. This makes them quite unique, and they look pretty good too. Pricing is an issue – they vary from $200 to $250. If you can achieve a similar effect with an LCD watch for $10 then it might not be worth it. Up to you!

There are a few different series available for each gender, with the ‘Reveal’ series being the most striking for men at the moment. The watches are made up of little dots controlled by E-ink to make a stylish and state-of-the-art watch.
