One computer monitor doesn’t cut it anymore, and it’s beginning to look like 2 won’t either. Luckily Cirago, a manufacturer of a wide array of consumer electronics, have got a solution that easily allows you to have 3 screens hooked up to one DisplayPort through their DVI adapter. They call it the HydraDisplay X3.
The screens can be used as desktop extension, with the ability to move windows about in between like a regular dual-screen set up, or as identical screens for broadcasting purposes.
DVI splitters are nothing new but this one seems to do it with much more sophistication and requires no set up – it’s completely plug and play for PC and Mac.
One thing that’s not clear about the product, however, is whether these 3 screens can be in addition to 1 main one, giving a total of 4.
