Zinio Digital Magazine Subscription

Zinio Digital Magazine Subscription

I’ve noticed one of my favorite magazines, Home Theater, has been picked up as a Zinio Digital subscription and I plan on resubscribing starting with the next issue via digital subscription.

Over the past year or so I’ve been able to read a few of my magazines digitally using the Zinio Reader and if could switch all the magazines over to this format I definitely would. The only thing that would improve my digital subscriptions would be a tablet to read them on!

Zinio Reader for Digital Magazines

But Zinio also gives you something new — an interactive experience that lets you actually get involved with your print magazine in fun, new ways. And, you can access your favorite titles anytime, anywhere because each magazine is delivered through the Internet to your computer.

In fact, last May, I wrote about My 12 Favorite iPad Apps where I called out 12 of the best apps for iPad so I thought I’d revisit the list to see if my favorites have changed. As expected, my top apps for iPad have evolved over time. For example, only three of the twelve iPad apps have remained on my list for best apps for iPad including Kindle, Zinio and Mail.

Playboy Centerfold in 3D

As a kid snooping around my dad’s bedroom drawers I ran across the most wonderful thing I could imagine… his Playboy collection. While not as well built as other father’s collections (some running from the 50s to the 80s), there were about a half a dozen gems to look through. As a curious boy, I wondered what it would be like if the centerfold jumped off the page… well, I don’t have to wonder anymore as the June edition of Playboy will be equipped with 3D glasses.

“What would people most like to see in 3-D?” asked Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. “Probably a naked lady.”. What a wise and insightful man!

My 12 Favorite Apps for the iPad that Rock! – May 2010 Edition

iPad appsIn a couple of days I will have had my iPad for an entire month. In the past four weeks, my laptop and desktop machines have seen a considerable drop in use from me as the iPad has taken over several functions I had used them for.

The apps represented in my Top 12 Favorite iPad Apps are the ones that have helped the most with this transition plus a few other iPad apps that simply have caught my fancy.

I have a feeling this list will continue to change on a weekly basis with a few exceptions (the top 4 or 5 for example).

Let’s get started with the countdown with #12…
