G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra
Paramount may not have screened the movie to critics, but they’ve teamed up with Electronic Arts to create an ambitious accompanying game for 6 platforms, including Xbox 360, PS 2 & 3, PSP, and Nintendo Wii and DS.
You choose from one of 12 characters and work your way through storylines developed just for the game. You can even play with a friend.

Guitar Hero 5 – Coming Soon!
Yes! This is real news – a few organisations are reporting that Guitar Hero 5 is due to be released this fall to try and increase its target audience with a whole range of new features (not much news yet on what these are) but there seems to be general focus around so-called ‘social play’. Some examples of new features are the ability to ‘jump’ in and out of songs, change the level of difficulty whenever you want during a song and adding more multiplayer game types such as a scenario where the weakest player in each song is eliminated, leaving just the best.
I like the idea of being able to change the difficulty mid-song.
Xbox 360 console now $300
Microsoft has decided to drop the price on the Xbox 360 console by $50. You can now pick up a console bundle at a Target store for $299.99.

Iomega Media Xporter Drive – USB Drive compatible with Xbox and PlayStation
Iomega is still around (was recently acquired by EMC) and are producing new products such as the Media Xporter Drive. It is essentially a USB 2.0 portable hard drive that is compatible not only with Windows and Mac PCs, but also with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles.
