The iTouchless SF001C Sensor Flush Automatic Tank, yes that’s a mouthful, replaces your toilet tank’s handle with a high-tech proximity sensor and a power motor to actually take care of the downward motion you normally perform on the handle.

The unit comes with all of the equipment you need to retrofit your throne. About the only bad thing is that it requires 4 C batteries, although they’re supposed to last up to 3 years or 23,000 flushes. It’d be nice if it could use rechargeables.

Leave the light off – Night Lights for your Toilet

jonny glow toiletWe’re kicking off Monday morning with some toilet humor. No, not that kind. Actually, it’s a set of  gadgets for your bathroom. They’re night light accessories for your toilet, so you don’t need to turn on the light in your bathroom if you need to make a pitstop in the middle of the night.

First up is the Flush Light that replaces the flush handle on your toilet with one that has a red LED light and an on/off button. It shuts off automatically after a while.

The next toilet ‘night light’ is the Jonny Glow which is a self-adhesive fluorescent strip that goes at the top of the toilet bowl’s rim. Only problem I have with this one is a cleaning one, although they claim it’s easy to clean. On the other hand, it doesn’t need batteries or button-pressing.

Drink No More – Keep Your Pets Away from the Toilet Bowl

If you don’t provide your pets with clean, fresh water, then they’re going to instintively find water and if they’re in a closed house, that place is typically the toilet bowl! But you already know that this can be potentially harmful to your pet. So how do you keep those furry snouts away from the bowl? The “Drink No More” is one such electronic solution.

The Drink No More is a small electronic sensor that attaches to the inside of the toilet cover and senses when someone (or pet) is nearby, at which point it beeps and flashes. Unless you have one of those super-talented pets, they’ll be scared away. You on the other hand can turn if off.

When the lid is down, it goes into ‘sleep’ mode. Only drawback may be knowing every time someone goes into the throne room! Also a bit pricey for a relatively simple device.
