Coming on the heels of Netflix announcing that PS3 consumers no longer need a disc to stream Netflix content, Netflix customers with a Wii console can begin streaming movies from the service without the Netflix disc starting this week.
Last week, Sony launched the disc-less service for PS3 console customers. PS3 customers, unlike Wii customers, will be able to view Netflix content in high-definition viewing with surround sound.
Even game console maker, Nintendo, is getting in on the e-book rage. Nintendo’s latest handheld, the DSi XL will be able to display e-books, and they will firt offer up a cartridge that contains 100 public domain books including classics by Shakespeare and Twain.

Paramount may not have screened the movie to critics, but they’ve teamed up with Electronic Arts to create an ambitious accompanying game for 6 platforms, including Xbox 360, PS 2 & 3, PSP, and Nintendo Wii and DS.
You choose from one of 12 characters and work your way through storylines developed just for the game. You can even play with a friend.

Nintendo is releasing a new gadget for the Wii, the Wii MotionPlus, which will plug into the Wii and uses sensors to more closely represent players’ motions making for more precise gameplay.
“Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10” will be bundled with the MotionPlus. There are only a few games announced that will use the new functionality but expect Nintendo to announce more at E3. Wii MotionPlus comes out on Mon Jun 8.
We have been using our Wii Fit for just over a month and it has been a fun addition to our household activities. The kids have their favourite games (ahem exercises) of course and we have used it so much we have had to change the batteries already! Overall it has been a worth while purchase and I now wonder why I put off getting one for so long!
I have been wondering if there are any other games around that use the Wii Fit board – can any Gizmos readers recommend anything? It has to be relatively straight forward so my under fives can play it too.
Other than that the music game looks quite fun.
