Here’s a refreshing innovation – (reusable) stone ice cubes. These stone cubes only need to be placed in the freezer for about an hour before needed and voila – instant ice cubes. This means they are both quicker to produce than ice cubes, and (slightly) cheaper and definitely more environmentally friendly as they can be 100% reused.

Keep in mind that these also don’t water down your drink, although you may like that in certain beverages.

3D Eyetracking UI

Remember those little holographic things you used to play with when you were a child that showed different pictures depending on the angle you looked at them?

Well the 3D Eyetracking UI from Tat does something similar – the UI can detect where you’re looking at the phone by tilting it, which allows the software to give depth to your phone’s display. This means that you can see ‘behind’ some of the menu items, and looking at it from different angles will reveal different things.

This could lead to richer user interfaces with more available ‘virtual’ screen real estate.

Pretty hard to explain and get your head around, so it’s best for you to see it in action:

Cadillac 3G WiFi Router

3G WiFi Routers have long been offered in high-end Maybachs, but Cadillac has brought it down to a much more affordable level by offering it in their CTS Sport sedans. With a solid 3G connection, you could be looking at a speed of around 400-800kbps, but with a 2G connection you’ll probably get around 200kbps. Your car’s speed may also affect these numbers.

Currently, only 1GB and 5GB plans are available (for $30/month and $60/month respectively) which really isn’t that great, especially with a large majority of phones available with unlimited data plans for a fraction of this cost. There’s also the $500 investment of buying the router, which makes it a bit of a low bang-for-the-buck value.

When installed, you have a choice of over 100 preprogrammed tunes to annoy delight your visitor with and, if that’s not enough, simply program your own – the choices are endless!

The installed tunes are pretty much what you expect – holiday, classic, the favorites, etc. but a tune book is provided just in case you do want to spend a few hours on your doorstep pressing a few buttons and wondering what the neighbors think of you.
