And now the reverse is true. The reverse of dragging a file to attach to a Gmail message is… dragging an attachment out of a Gmail email to save to your desktop.
Only 1 drawback – it’s only available in Chrome.
Using it is easy – just hold and drag either the attachment’s icon or its “Download” link and drop it wherever you’d like it on your computer’s filesystem. Here’s a quick video showing it in action:
