Turn on Spooky Music When Someone Enters a Room

Automate your haunted house to welcome guests with menacing music! You can set up a motion sensor to automatically turn on creepy lights or sounds when people walk through. Startle even the toughest crowd when the house switches from “dead” silence to scary sounds!

Ghosts and Ghouls Products Used:

Tools Required:

  • Screwdriver

Here’s How to Do It:
Mount the Wireless X10 Motion Sensor where it will be activated by someone just walking into the room. Plug in the X10 16-Device RF Base, making sure that the path from the motion sensor is clear enough to receive the RF signal. Plug your radio or other appliance into the 16 Device RF Base, and you’re done! When motion is detected, the 16-Device Base will switch on power to the Radio or Tape Player. After motion is no longer detected, the motion sensor will switch off the power again, leaving it ready for the next victim!

Year Round Use:
Mount the Wireless X10 Motion Sensor where it will be activated by someone just walking into the room. Total Budget:
The total budget for this project (without tax or shipping) will cost $51.98. We recommend the Ghost and Ghoul Sounds audio CD of spooky sounds for $6.98. You’ll need to record the CD to tape as CD players do not allow you to instantly turn on and start listening to a CD whereas tape players do.
