Toshiba’s first hard-drive camera, is packed with 60 GB of storage, enough space to store 13 hours of DVD-quality footage, and billed as the highest-capacity hard-drive camcorder on the market. The 2-megapixel CCD sensor and simultaneous still- and video-capture capabilities are also impressive, but it’s the hard drive capacity that distinguishes Toshiba’s device from similar units by Sanyo, Sony, and JVC. The new Toshiba GSC-R30 (30GB*) and GSC-R60 (60GB*) models feature built in 1.8″ hard disk drives, a 2.5″ diagonally measured high resolution LCD screen (210k pixels), a 2 Mega Pixel color CCD Sensor and offer high quality MPEG-2 video. The GSC-R60 comes with a docking cradle that includes a USB port, Ethernet connectivity, an AC adaptor and an A/V output.
