Google Celebrates Pac Man’s 30th Anniversary with Actual Working Video Game for a Logo

This is a “can’t miss” Internet meme-du-jour: in celebration of Pac Man’s 30th anniversary (wow!), Google’s has dressed up their logo on their home page as a real functioning version of Pac Man, replete with all 4 ghosts, extra lives and power pills. The maze is a little wonky and playing with a arrow keys isn’t quite the same as a joystick, but I challenge you not to get sucked in to playing! Nicely done Google.

This is video is (insert your own superlative here); let’s just say fantastic. Or perhaps as the Guinness guys say “Brilliant!”

What would happen if a bunch of very pixelated video games came to life and ‘attacked’ New York City? I’ve watched this 3 times already, and it’s still amazing. PS> You may want to hit YouTube directly to see it in big(ger) screen glory.
