Shower That Recycles Water

Next step is a Dune-like Stillsuit! Ok, maybe not quite yet, but right now we have a shower that recycles water and saves money and energy. Peter Brewin designed the ssytem at the Royal College of Art in Britain. Interestingly, the shower works on principles similar to those found in a Dyson vacuum cleaner, using filters and hydro cyclones.

If Londoners were to jump in the eco-friendly shower, it would reduce the capital’s water usage by 85 billion litres each year – the equivalent of 85,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools. 85 Billion. Wow. This is definitely technology and gadgetry that we need to see more of. No word on when this may become available to the public.
