Similar to Quirky, Kickstarter is another website that helps back designer’s innovative ideas, as long as enough money is pledged to the product. The idea we’re featuring today is the WALdok – a iPhone/iPod plug-in speaker, and has already met its funding pledge so will go into production on the 9th of April this year.
The plug-in speaker is very compact, and is about the size of a large plug. When you want to use it you flip out the plug from the back, stick it in the wall and whack your iPod/iPhone into the dock. The speaker battery is also charged while the device is plugged in, giving it up to 8 hours of portable music playing time.
A $59 pledge will mean you’re one of the first to get these, but no info on what the pricing will be after the initial pledge period.
