Ojo has brought its cutting edge voice-and-video-over-broadband (VoBB) calling service to a HD video phone. The phone itself looks like any more standard video phone, except it utilizes Ojo’s high definition services to give you a clearer experience compared to the other services you’re used to.
The Ojo Vision Digital Video phone is completely plug and play meaning all you need to do is plug your internet cable in around the back and the automatic registration process will be started so that you can get talking to people as soon as possible.
There are a few other features that set it apart from other phones too – it includes Ojo’s enhanced voice mail, online account management and contact services, but the phone can also double up as a photo frame which is a nice personal touch for the office. The buttons are also large making for ultimate ease of use.
In terms of pricing, the phone itself is $150 and then there’s a $30/month subscription for unlimited calls throughout the US and a few other areas. It makes it very expensive compared to Skype but much cheaper than some other video phone services available.
Ojo also has a number of older, cheaper models that are more geared for the home market.
