Nissan pushing its Electric Car, the Leaf, hard

Nissan Leaf electric carAfter the infamous ‘death of the electric car’ (or was it murder?), the electric car has arisen from the dead, and now there are multiple models out there (ex: Tesla and Chevy Volt), with more on the way. What’s even better are all the perks that are being handed out with them in an effort to increase interest and sales.

Take the Nissan Leaf for example. Apart from the usual tax credit, Nissan is pushing the Leaf hard – to the point of sending reps out to visit potential buyers at home or calling them personally.

The Leaf costs about $33k, but with the various federal and state credits, that price could easily be more like $20-23k. The Nissan Leaf goes on sale in December.
