Normally the Geeks only feature products that you can get your hands on right now but since Logitech’s Cordless Desktop MX 5000 Laser is coming out soon we thought we’d feature it. Logitech refers to this keyboard as the “world’s first intelligent desktop” because of the two way communication between the keyboard/mouse and desktop.
The keyboard has an LCD keyboard display which allows you to receive notification of new IM or email messages, view application information, check date and time. Also, the keyboard has touch-sensitive media control, one touch syncronization with bluetooth phones and is ready for Windows Media Center Edition 2005. Finally, the device connects to the desktop via Bluetooth with SecureConnect(TM) technology.
