On August 1, 2005, Gizmos For Geeks, one of the fastest growing gadget websites, is celebrating its one year anniversary. To mark the occassion, a giveaway will be held every day from August 1st through August 5th inclusive.
According to the company’s founders, Doug Felteau and Khalid Hosein, they set out to build a community website for visitors interested in learning about new and cutting edge gadgets. The website at gizmosforgeeks.com features a new gadget every single day as well as reviews, news, reviews, coupons & deals, contests, forums, and links to shopping sites and other gadget sites. In the year since launching, Gizmos for Geeks has experienced exponential growth in visitor traffic. Gizmos for Geeks also intends to launch new services in the next year.
The Geeks will run two contests from August 1st through August 5th.
The first contest will be a daily contest where the Gizmo of that day is given away. On each Gizmo of the Day from August 1st to August 5th there will be a clue to a code somewhere on our site. The first registered user to post a comment to the Gizmo of that day revealing the code will win that Gizmo of the Day! It sounds a little more complicated than it really is I promise!
The second contest involves gathering all the non-winning comments from each of the days from August 1st through August 5th and the Geeks will randomly choose a winner. How simple is that?
There are a couple of rules:
1) Only one prize per person;
2) If person does not live in US, a gift certificate to either Amazon or Apple iTunes will be presented for $20 instead of the Gizmo of the Day.
