Extend your Computer’s Display via a USB-to-DVI Adapter

Gefen USB-to-DVI HDIf you’d like to extend or mirror your display from your computer on multiple monitors, but you’re maxed out at 1 or2 (DVI/VGA) video outputs, then you should take a look at a USB to DVI adapter.

This particular one from Gefen ¬†plugs into any free USB port on your computer then into a standard DVI-D cable and into a monitor or other HD display/TV. You can now do things like display on resolutions up to 2048×1152, rotate your display, and use an external display as the main display of a laptop.

On Windows PCs for example, with the driver installed, you can use the standard Windows Display Properties to manipulate your display. This adapter is also compatible with Mac OS X.

It’s not cheap, especially if you want to mirror to more than 1 display (up to 6). You can also take a look on Amazon.com for similar USB to DVI adapters.
