Forget having to bring your laptop along on trips to move photos, video or music from geek gizmos to a storage device. You can transfer files from one data storage device to another without going near a computer using Hitch the Digital File Transfer System. This speedy data transfer system connects any USB devices (devices and USB connector cords sold separately), such as digital cameras, USB flash drives, iPods, virtually any device with a USB connection, and it will even charge both devices as it transfers files.
Of course, I can’t live without my laptop, but this would be fun to play with.
Simple and Quick File Transferring
The Digital File Transfer System is designed for easy use. Plug the source device into one USB port and the destination device into the other. Select the file, song, album, or video on the backlit LCD screen using the scroll wheel and hit SEND. With high-speed file transferring, you’ll download a song in 5 seconds, a photo in half that time, or a whole album in less than 2 minutes! You can even transfer an entire 30-minute video in 3 minutes!
Transfer Single Songs or Full Albums at Once
The Digital File Transfer System has a special Music Mode, which places transferred music files into the Artist, Album & Song database format in the receiving iPod device. You can transfer individual songs, all songs on an album or all music from an artist, all at the press of a button. After transferring music to an iPod, you can synchronize the database in your iPod with your database in iTunes. This feature is duplicated in the standard mode, which lets you transfer single documents or full files.
Some types of music files are copyright protected. The Digital File Transfer System is compliant with all Digital Rights Management (DRM) copy protection, which allows you to choose who has permission to experience your media. While the Digital File Transfer System will transfer copy-protected music, it does not authorize you to play it without the appropriate permissions.
iPod Accessory Charges As it Transfers
The Digital File Transfer System is equipped with an internal Lithium polymer rechargeable battery pack that is capable of powering itself and two other USB devices as it transfers files from one to another. An AC adapter is included for recharging the Digital File Transfer System.
