After transferring music to an iPod, you can synchronize the database in your iPod with your database in iTunes. This feature is duplicated in the standard mode, which lets you transfer single documents or full files.
DRM Compliance
Some types of music files are copyright protected. The Digital File Transfer System is compliant with all Digital Rights Management (DRM) copy protection, which allows you to choose who has permission to experience your media. While the Digital File Transfer System will transfer copy-protected music, it does not authorize you to play it without the appropriate permissions.
