This is the first television suitable for permanent installation and use outdoors, even in winter. All internal components are protected by a special enclosure that repels rain, dirt, insects, and harsh outdoor conditions. Unlike common televisions that lose picture quality due to glare, this television has a 20.1″ LCD screen that is significantly brighter than standard LCD screens, and provides indoor-quality viewing outdoors in shaded daylight. The high-resolution screen generates an 800 x 600 pixel image with 16.7 million colors, and is protected by a scratch-resistant, contrast-enhancing window.
A patented dual-airflow system with filters and baffles ensures the television stays cool, dry, and properly ventilate. A watertight entry system keeps cables dry, allowing you to connect the television to cable, a satellite dish, a DVD player, and an antenna. The internal thermostat-controlled heater maintains proper temperature even in weather as cold as –24° F. At less than 20 lbs., the television is easy to maneuver and place in your backyard, and it has a built-in weather-resistant wall-mount bracket (it can also be mounted on an optional pole, sold separately). Two 5-watt water-resistant speakers provide clear stereo sound, and the television comes with a remote control that requires two AA batteries. The TV comes with an outdoor remote power supply for installation near an existing AC outlet.
