Yet another robot, you say? Yep, but that’s b/c they’re cool! 😉 The Robopet is just like a real puppy – he walks, jumps, sits, lies down, begs, rolls over, sniffs, crawls, runs, shakes hands and scratches. He even has a personality that ranges from friendly and curious to upset and cantankerous. The Robopet is chock full of sensors that help him motor around autonomously, and to react via his ‘senses’ (see, hear, feel) to the environment. There is also a wireless controller that lets you teach the Robopet behaviors with positive or negative reinforcement. And of course, you want your dog to play fetch, so the Robopet has the ability to chase after a laser light.
Of course, as you probably guessed, Mark Tilden was the guy that designed the Robopet. His Robosapien and Roboraptor are already huge hits in the personal robot entertainment area.
