Panasonic RR-US395S IC Recorder with Voice Editing Software

Panasonic RR-US395S IC Recorder with Voice Editing Software

This extremely small voice recorder can hold over 66 hours of speech in monoaural mode. That may not be that impressive given how cheap storage has become, but hopefully this will impress you a little: the RR-US395S comes with voice editing software that converts from speech to text *and* can translate into 5 different languages: French, Spanish, German, Italian and Russian. I think Japanese and Chinese are missing, but maybe that’ll be in the next revision. Still not enough? The software also has a feature to pronounce the speech as well in those other languages. I’m actually a bit surprised that it’s priced under $80.

Still want more? Ok, how about a voice-activated system, so you don’t record silence. Or complete voice editing: splice, delete and move parts of a recording around.
