Finally, a screen for your home theater that’s completely hidden when it’s retracted. It gives your home theater a nice touch of class. The In-Ceiling Projector Screens are one of the most economical models on the market, but still produces an outstanding picture.

At the touch of a button, the projection screen drops out of the ceiling. For the ultimate in aesthetics, install this unit flush with the ceiling. A trapdoor neatly conceals the screen and mechanism. When the mechanism is activated the trapdoor opens and the screen drops down. The motor is mounted inside the assembly on special rubber vibration insulators; operating noises are dramatically reduced and running smoothly and silently, even after years of service. The motor features internal thermal overload protector, electric brake, and its gears are lifetime lubricated.

The case is made from ¾” warp resistant composition wood. Wiring compartment is completely metal lined to meet the strictest building codes. The bottom of the case is fully enclosed by two panels, mounted with full-length continuous hinge. One panel to open and close automatically as screen operates. Second panel opens manually for access to electrical connections, limit switches and screen surface. Hinges are mounted to allow matching of bottom panels to ceiling. Case painted with flat black primer. Case dimensions are 7 9/16″ high and 7 13/16″ wide (looking from the side.)

Included with the unit is a wall mounted electric switch for manually raising and lowering the screen. The three-position (Up, Down, and Stop) allows the operator to position the screen and any level. To lower the screen, flip the switch to “Down”, once the screen reaches the end, limit switches will disengage the motor’s electric supply. To raise it, flip the switch to “Up” and walk away. The switch mounts in a single gang electrical box and is connected to the screen’s motor with three-conductor 14 gauge 120-volt cable. Complete with single-gang cover plate. Entire unit certified by Underwriters’ Laboratories, Inc. for the U.S. and Canada.

Infrared Remote Control: The Ir Remote Control kit includes a handheld Ir remote control, an Ir sensor-receiver and interface module. The 3-button operation for instant access to “up”, “down”, and “stop” functions. Fully compatible with “learnable” IR remote controls. The Ir Sensor plugs into the Low-Voltage Interface kit (see above), and must be ordered with it.
