Eclipse Advanced Function CD/MP3 In-Dash Player (CD7000)

Eclipse Advanced Function CD/MP3 In-Dash Player (CD7000)

Not only does this in-dash system play AM/FM and CDs but plays WMAs and MP3s on recorded CDs. Nowadays that’s not that impressive but the CD-7000 also has an adjustable auxiliary input and a memory stick slot, so you can make full use of external audio devices through your in-dash player.

Not quite gizmo-y enough yet? How about the ability to connect to the E-iSERV network from your computer to access functions and features that will optimize in-car system response and provide map guidance. Map Guidance!?!? Yes, the CD7000 has GPS built-in. The GPS-linked CD7000 model even shows real-time color graphic mapping and gives turn-by-turn audible instructions! As Paris would say… “that’s hot!”

Audiophile-grade components: All Eclipse products use a “clean sheet? foundation—they’re designed with the end, not the means, in mind. Eclipse audiophile-grade components result in very high quality tolerances, competition-grade mobile audio and superior technology that make a perceptible difference in sound reproduction.

50 watts x 4 peak power: You’ll get plenty of power for up to four speakers.

Three pairs of pre-amp outputs: There is plenty of wattage for a modest setup, but if you want to round out your system with additional speakers and a subwoofer, there are three outputs for more connections. This unit sends a powerful 8-volt preamp signal for maximum performance from external amps with minimum noise.

More ways to listen: The CD7000 gives you options. In addition to the standard AM/FM radio tuner, the unit can play a variety of formats like MP3 and WMA, so burn your favorite songs on a CD and bring them with you if you want to play DJ. The unit has an adjustable auxiliary input and a memory stick slot, so you can make full use of external audio devices through your in-dash player.

MOSFET high-power amp: Controlled by voltage rather than current, MOSFET transistors create little or no heat to ensure fast response and high frequency performance. The result is faithful sound reproduction with expressive musical detail.

E-iSERV: Log onto the E-iSERV network from your personal computer to access functions and features that will optimize in-car system response and provide map guidance. Using Eclipse’s proprietary network, you can achieve a level of customization previously thought impossible. Audio data and system response from a specific car is sent to a dedicated audio processing server where it’s evaluated and adjusted to create a system response tailored to your vehicle. You can even customize the display panel.

Area shot: Your in-dash CD player has never had so much functionality. This feature allows you to search for a destination online and download the route to get there, then transfer it to your car where mapping data will display on the receiver. The GPS-linked CD7000 model even shows real-time color graphic mapping and gives turn-by-turn audible instructions!

Heightened security: The Eclipse Security Network (ESN) provides an extra layer of security to your investment. In addition to a motorized slide-open faceplate, you can use a memory stick or CD to set up your receiver’s security. This will prevent use when the power has been cut, rendering the unit worthless to thieves.

Customizable EQ: Get the best quality out of your car audio by using one of the EQ presets, or adjust the equalizer settings yourself for a custom setup.

Remote control: This unit includes a remote control for added convenience.
