CES 2010: Iomega’s v.Clone Uses VMWare Under the Hood

Once famous for their Zip drives, Iomega has now turned to software as well and has teamed up with storage giant EMC to create v.Clone.

v.Clone gives you the ability to create a virtual image of your PC (everything including OS, apps and data) and sync it to a compatible Iomega drive. You can then plug that drive into a different PC and run it as if it were your very own computer. You can then later sync back up changes to your original PC.

Available this January 2010.
