Apple Updates iTunes and New iPods

Apple announced iTunes 7 today with new features such as the new album and Cover Flow views of music, TV shows and movies. Also, the iTunes Store is now offering over 75 movies from Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films, which customers can purchase and download to watch on their computers and iPods, and soon on their flat screen televisions with Apple’s upcoming iTV player. I guess Mr. Jobs gets paid twice on for someone using an iPod and purchasing a Disney or Pixar movie.

In addition to the iTune upgrade, a new iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano and iPod were unveiled today. The Shuffle weighs in at only a half an ounce in an aluminum design while the iPod Nano is smaller, thinner and lighter as well. The new iPod supports a 60% brighter screen.

That brighter screen can be used to watch NFL because the National Football League and Apple also announced that they will bring 2006 NFL regular season action to the iTunes Store, offering video downloads of highlights from individual NFL games the day after they are played.

Overall, the Geeks were wishing for more…
