Sony Cuts Price on PS3 by $100

by Khalid Hosein on July 10, 2007

Sony has decided to cut the price on the Playstation 3 (PS3) by US$100. It will now go for a suggested retail price of $500 in the US. This isn’t surprising as Sony has been fighting a losing battle against the Nintendo Wii and Microsoft’s Xbox 360, as those console have outsold the PS3 by multiple times.

Honestly, it’s about time they did. On the plus side, the PS3 is turning out to be a quality product, as compared to Microsoft who has spent over $1 billion on repairs of the Xbox 360.
