Sony’s freestanding 12.1-inch LCD TV uses dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11a/g) to talk to its base station, either directly or over the Internet. The base station has an NTSC tuner, and connections for your home network and A/V sources like cable and DVD player. The portable even has a 56K modem and an internal hard drive for watching programs on the road.
