This small, neat, colorful little gadget should be on your list of important things to carry around if you’re a sun worshiper. Comes in a nice, bright orange and is just over a mere 3″, this UV monitor from Oregon Scientific measures UV intensity and lets you know what the recommended exposure time is.
It also monitors the temperature, and has a built-in clock. It is splash-proof (mind you, not waterproof). Too bad it doesn’t run off of solar power.

These work great, especially if you tan like I don’t – white to red and back to white again.
