Recharge your cellphone, iPod, iPhone and camera with this USB solar powered bonsai tree by French designer Vivien Muller.
Thanks to 54 tiny photovoltaic panels, the iBonsai (we just made that name up) will store energy in a hidden battery during the day, allowing you to recharge your gadgets even at night.

Thank you Samsung for deciding to launch a recycling program in the 50 states. With the exception of appliances, you can drop off any Samsung consumer electronics at various drop-off points. Here is the Samsung Recycling Direct website.
If you’re looking for more recycling resources, just do a search on our site as we’ve covered numerous recycling resources over the years.

Ok, so 250 gigabytes of traffic is a pretty high limit, especially compared to some other providers, but why such a cap if they say that the average usage is 2 to 3 GB? Well, it’s their call, but if you’re going to have a limit, you better make sure you give users a way to check their usage.
I can hear it now… somewhere around the end of the month “Sorry honey - I didn’t get your e-mail or pay the bills as we’re over our bandwidth limit for the month.”

M2E Power has announced that they will start selling a cell-phone charger that can convert your movements into power for your cell phone and/or other devices. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to buy this device until next year. The other letdown is that the upcoming gadget won’t be built directly into a cell phone. At least not yet.
M2E Power looks like an interesting company as they also take the same idea and extend it to quite a few other environments, such as to soldiers that have to walk around with lots of batteries. Imagine if those batteries were being recharged at the same time they were moving around.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - computers are complicated, even for folks like me who are in the business. With that in mind, Best Buy has discovered another way to mint money - charging folks a small premium to remove the bloatware that the major computer makers install on their computers.
While some of the software can be considered useful or helpful, what I’ve found is that I rarely use it, and so much of it runs as an always-on service that uses some amount of additional hardware resources. It all adds up.

Google sure knows how to light up the news sites and blogosphere - release a brand new Web browser! Called Chrome, it’s Google’s foray into a once-crowded market that is now dominated by just 2 players (at least on Windows) - Microsoft and Mozilla.
Everyone else has reported on and given their opinion, so why not another?! I did download and test out Chrome. I would have been disappointed if I was not impressed by at least one feature of a brand new Google product and the big G did not let me down.

Engadget found a bunch of photos of the upcoming HTC Dream running the Google-supported Android Mobile OS on a Chinese forum, and the bottom line is that this phone is real and coming to T-Mobile in relatively short order. Not the best of photos but pretty exciting to see something that just maybe, could be called an iPhone killer in a few months!

A new deals website pays you to submit deals on popular products (currently only in 6 electronics categories and 511 products). BeatThat.com also simply rates the vendors in 3 categories (green, yellow and red) based on their rankings at a few other big sites such as Amazon.com and Shopping.com.
No idea how much you get paid for submitting deals, so I’m guessing that they want to keep that quiet until you submit stuff, probably because it’s not that much!
