JVC puts up 1st HD display in Times Square, NY

Posted Dec 6th, 2008 by Chief Gadgeteer

In NYC this holiday season? Then check out JVC’s brand new 720p high def billboard display. The screen with its 1.2 million LEDs has a mere 8mm pixel pitch (space between the pixels), and measures 34′ and 19′. At a resolution of 1280×720, that means each pixel measures approximately 1/3″ wide.

Head to Times Square, would ya and let us know if this thing is as clear as we’re imagining it is. ;-)
