Record Your Life with Digital Archives
Eric A. Taub wrote an interesting article offering tips on digitizing documents, home movies and photographs in The New York Times. The Geeks wrote about this very subject at the beginning of the Hurricane Season.
Eric had many of the same suggestions the Geeks had including using USB flash drives to store the data, using all-in-one printers for scanning documents and photos. He expanded to include home videos as well presenting various tips on how to digitize Super 8 movies, VHS tapes as well as analog music formats including LPs, 8-track tapes and cassettes.
The full article is worth a read.
