3D Print Replacement Bones
3D Printing has been around for a number of years now, although it has hardly made it into the average home or probably even into general consumer-awareness. Now, here’s a quick note on how 3D printing may be used to replicate bones and possibly even organs. So far the research is promising, but the ‘printed’ bones still aren’t strong enough to bear weight.

In a related story, researchers at RPI have come up with a way to produce a flexible battery that may be printable. From the story:
“The battery uses paper infused with an electrolyte and carbon nanotubes that are embedded in the paper. The carbon nanotubes form the electrodes, the paper is the separator and the electrolyte allows the current to flow.”
