GeeksforRelief Provide Free Backups for Hurricane Zone Residents
A nice bunch of geeks got together and launched a volunteer service that lets folks backup their critical data during hurricane season for free. From their site “GeeksForRelief.com is a group of caring Remote Backup Service Providers who donate our online backup services free of charge to help people in hurricane zones protect their valuable computer data during storms. We have committed to provide a safe place to store your computer data, and free downloadable software that you can use immediately when needed.” The service is 100% free during hurricane season, but understandably only to those located within hurricane zones along the US Gulf Coast and Eastern Seaboard. Pretty cool. Thanks guys.
