Smart Strip LCG3 Power Strip and Surge Protector
Here’s another environmentally friendly gadget, that is power conscious. It’s a power strip and surge protector that very simply detects whether or not the devices you have plugged in to it are actually on or not and stops drawing power from the wall. I immediately thought of a great application for this: my spare laptop power adapter that I like to leave plugged in to the wall outlet, so I can quickly plug into my laptop to juice it back up. Immediate power and money savings. Just in case you’ve got devices that you need/want to leave on permanently (and we all do!), just plug it in to the red outlets.

[...] TrickleStar is a tech company that makes a line of products geared to save you money with your energy usage. We reviewed 2 of their products that go hand in hand. The main product is the PC TrickleSaver. It basically works by monitoring your computer (via USB cable) to see if it’s on. If it’s not, then it kills the power to any devices you have plugged into the TrickleSaver. You can look at the TrickleSaver as a different take on similar power conservation products like the Smart Strip. [...]
