RIM to launch Blackberry in China
RIM, the Canadian firm that brought us the Crack… uhh, Blackberry, announced that they are set to launch their service in China by approximately mid-year. They are going to partner with China Mobile, which is the largest cellular telecom in the world. Interestingly enough, not too long ago, China Unicom, a competing telco, launched their version of the Blackberry service, appropriately (or not) called the Redberry. RIM could have an interesting fight on their hands, but with an opportunity to get themselves out of the hole they dug by not paying NTP on time.
