You can record directly to DVD using this Sony Digital Camcorder and using the Picture Package software you can easily organize still images and video content and create music videos with them. One item I really like about DVD recordable camcorders is the visual index usually offered (this digital camcorder does!) which allows you to quickly flip from chapter to chapter so you don’t have to watch an entire MiniDVs tape from start to finish to find some footage you want.
You can literally stick this camcorder in the palm of your hand and if you go on a trip, the DVD recordables are more flat that MiniDVs. This would be a great camcorder for everyday use (if you have kids) or travel.

This is wicked cool
A self-cooling can. The I.C. Can was invented by Tempra Technology and Crown Holdings. The I.C. Can is approximately 500ml large and holds 300ml of liquid and can cool down the contained beverage by 30° Fahrenheit in just about 3 minutes. The liquid inside stays at whatever the external temperature is, until the seal between the 2 internal compartments is broken by twisting the bottom of the can. Once the seal is broken, the natural desiccant within the vacuum draws the heat from the beverage through the evaporator in the top compartment and is absorbed into the insulated heat-sink container in the bottom.

“Computers and Accessories” replace “Laptops, Notebooks and Tablets” from last years list and moved up a couple spots from #12 to #10. Included in the list are a Intel Pentium M745 laptop (Qosimo), a dual-core 64bit AMD desktop (Alienware’s Aurora 7500), a LCD monitor (the gorgeous Dell 1905FP) and a Photo Printer (PictureMate) representing a good cross-section of various computers and accessories.
On a personal side note, I would not purchase a machine unless it has dual-core and 64bit architecture. The increases in speed will be considerable and the machine will work for you longer. Desktops are currently out but Laptops haven’t quite hit the market yet.

With the increase of use in digital cameras more and more people either want instant gratification by printing out the pictures at home or they never get the time to bring the memory card into a photo developer because photo printer sales are on the rise.
The Epson PictureMate Personal Photo Printer was one of the first and most recognizable Photo Printer on the market. With features like making up to a 100 copies of a picture to a Save Photo button that lets you back up digital files directly to an external storage device this small (10″x6″) Photo Printer is a favorite for the quick photo print.

Flat Panel computer monitors are hot wished for items this Christmas and the Dell 1905FP leads the pack for 19″ LCD monitors. I have a couple of these gorgeous monitors and with 800:1 contrast ratio and a max resolution of 1280×1024 pixels, the screen is unmatched in quality with other LCD monitors I’ve seen.
Another plus for this monitor, I’ve order both personally and professional over 10 and non have had dead pixels upon arrival! None! Usually, flat panel manufacturers allow for a certain number of pixels to be dead to be in the normal range and you will quite often get a couple dead pixels which can be annoying in the middle of the screen.
Dell also has a 20″ wide screen flat panel monitor (2005FPW) which is the best flat panel monitor out there in my opinion!

Here’s the pre-built machine for the AMD fans… Alienware’s Aurora 7500 powered by the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processor bringing dual-core technology and the processing power of a 64-bit processor. With a machine like this you’re going to want that NVidia SLI technology inlcuded in the 7800 GTX 512MB GPU (or maybe even two). That’s the core of the Aurora but since it’s an Alienware machine, you know there are some cool extras!
Alienware includes a LightScribe drive that allows direct disc labeling that burns text and graphics onto the surface of a CD or DVD using the drive laser so you write data to the CD/DVD and label in the same drive. Also included is NVidia’s ActiveArmor which is a hardware-accelerated firewall that is seemless to the user and doesn’t slow down access like a software based firewall would. The Creative SoundBlaser X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card is included for high def sound too. Oh yeah, to top off the machine Alienware liquid cools this beast.
If you’re giving a gift of the ultimate pre-built machine, look no further.

The Toshiba Qosmio F15-AV201 15.4″ Notebook PC sports an Intel Pentium M Processor 745 running at 1.8GHz. Don’t worry AMD fans, you’ll be represented in a couple hours with the second computer!
What’s the difference between the Qosmio and other laptops? Toshiba markets the machine as having strong multimedia and 3D graphics attributes and can be easily integrated into home entertainment setups.
We won’t bore you with the specs (if you want to know just click on the image or read more), but we will leave you with two words as to why you should wait for a laptop: dual core.

The microprocessor, or CPU, as some people call it, is the brains of our personal computer. I’m getting into this history lesson not because I’m a history buff (though computers do have a wonderfully interesting past), but to go through the development step-by-step to explain how they work. Well, not everything about how they work, but enough to understand the importance of the latest features and what they do for you. It’s going to take more than one article to dig into the inner secrets of microprocessors. I hope it’s an interesting read for you and helps you recognize computer buzzwords when you’re making your next computer purchase.

Cell phones dropped from the #4 spot of most wished for category last year to the #11 spot this year. We suppose most people run out and get the new phone they’ve been waiting for when it comes out.
With that said, we’ve featured a few phones with different features from kid cell phones to powerful convergent phones to high-speed data phones to the very slick designed phone.

Measuring 4.5 x 0.8 x 1.3 inches and weighing a mere 3 ounces, the Nokia 7280 has a unique style and that what sells this phone. Part of Nokia’s Fashion Collection, you answer and end calls with the active slide. Also, you reveal hidden camera by sliding open the mirror-finish case.
There are no traditional number keys, send key, etc… but another unique feature is the rotator which apparently takes a little bit to get use to but really is sharp not to have all the keys messing up the design not to mention the cool red display.
Oh yeah, this phone supports Bluetooth, has the ubiquitous phone book and Internet access available on just about every phone but does it with style!
