Prius Tech Edition w/ Self-Parking To Be Sold in Europe

I wonder what kind of bureaucratic hoops a company has to jump through to get their product cleared for sale in another country. The reason I’m wondering is that the Prius Tech Edition is about to be launched in Europe, about 2 years after the its launch in Japan. In case you’re wondering why this is of any import, the Tech Edition features the futuristic self-parking feature. Unfortunately, for us Yanks, there’s no mention of the Prius Tech Ed becoming available anytime soon on the US Toyota website. In fact, the FAQ specifically says that the self-parking feature is only available on those models sold in Japan. Oh well…
