The attached scanning wand automatically programs the bread maker to prepare bread and cake mixes according to the package instructions simply by scanning the UPC code.

The Beyond Bread Maker has hundreds of preprogrammed barcodes stored in its memory, but you can program new recipes in, or the bread maker can even “learn” new barcodes from the online Beyond Information Network. No installation or wiring is required. You can even program the Beyond Bread Maker to start at a certain time of day, making it possible to wake up to freshly baked bread every morning!
